You have probably already been browsing the website, watched a video or read a blog. Then it may just be that letting go sounds quite curious to you. In that case, you’ve come to the right place. This is where the real “work” can begin.
In this carefully composed course you will be taken through the first important topics and exercises for spontaneous, effortless, fluent speech. You will learn what exactly letting go of stuttering is, how it works and what it can do for you.
The aim of the course is not to get rid of your stutter completely within 3 months. This course is the ideal starting point for those who want to discover how to let go of stuttering and take the first, fundamental steps.
Without knowing exactly what the problem is, it becomes quite difficult to solve that problem. That is why we start the course with an explanation of what stuttering actually is. The answer to stuttering will also become clear from that story: letting go. At the end of this session we will send you your first exercise so you can put the letting go into practice.
After you have practised for a number of weeks and have experienced a few things, we´ll dive a bit deeper into the letting go. We discuss the key role of pelvic breathing, “centering” and “grounding” properly, with which you can let go of everything that is in the way of your fluent speech.
Sometimes stuttering seems to “come out of nowhere,” as if there is no apparent reason for it. That’s a shame, because the sooner you feel a stutter coming, the sooner you can intervene (read: let go). That is why we take a look behind the curtain in session 3 and discuss the hidden causes of stuttering.
Something you’re probably familiar with: in one situation you stutter more than in another. In the fourth session, we will discuss why stuttering is triggered more strongly in certain situations and how we can become free of unconscious psychological patterns that influence our speech.
